ANY OF THESE CHALLENGES?
They have a hard time following instructions given by either you, the parent or teachers or any other role of authority.
They find it difficult to focus on a task or do not listen well.
They struggle with the ability to control their emotions when things don’t go their way.
Our Age Specific Chilren's Martial Arts Program Can Help!
Kids 3 to 4 years of age are not equipped with the long term attention span that older kids have. They are also not fully aware of how their actions can have consequences on others or their environment. But even though this may be considered normal behavior, we have to teach our children how to behave in certain situations and make them aware of their actions.
How Do We Do This?
We have created a curriculum that emphasizes the importance of 8 principles. Each of the 8 principles contains a variety of drills that are disguised as games to teach your child the importance of each and every principle. These principles are broken down into three specified categories, Martial Arts, Physical Development, and Behavioral Development.
STUDYING MARTIAL ARTS
Studying martial arts is ideal for kids 3 to 4 years old. It provides them with an outlet for their energy. But, it also teaches them about respect, discipline, and other core values that will go with them beyond the academy. Our Early Ninjas Program teaches kids to control their movements and behavior, and they’ll learn social skills and interaction at the same time.
Studying Martial Arts Builds Physical Coordination and Control
Children at ages 3 and 4 do not have the physical capabilities or strengths of older children. They are beginning to understand fine motor skills, coordination and distance management.
Young children who learn martial arts find out quickly that each movement must be intentional. They learn to control their movements to the best of their ability. They also practice hand-eye coordination and learn about their bodies. That means they’ll be less likely to be unintentionally destructive.
MARTIAL ARTS HELPS KIDS WITH BEHAVIORAL DEVELOPMENT
To train and develop your child’s self control, i.e: focus, attention, and emotional management, we focus on the principle of Teamwork.
Teamwork is a vital learning point for young children. It teaches them that they can benefit by working, sharing and playing with others. Working in a group environment alongside other children the same ages as well as young adults, we will help them learn how the things they say and/or do can affect someone else significantly, whether it be in a positive or negative way.
Acknowledgement of these repercussions will help your child independently address and correct their behavior overtime.
OUR CLASSES KEEP YOUR KIDS ENGAGED WITH 3 TEACHING PHILOSOPHIES
- Constant Attention
- Variety of Fun Drills
- Simple, Short & To the Point
To keep children of this age group engaged, where they are learning these vital principles while having fun, we must have their constant attention to prevent them from getting distracted.
We do this by teaching drills disguised as games that are simplified and short to prevent any confusion therefore keeping them engaged.
Lastly, we make sure to follow our “golden ratio”. Our Golden ratio explains that we must have one instructor for every five kids we have in class. With this ratio we can be certain that each and every kid gets the right amount of attention and that they do not have to wait too long for their turn. This again, prevents any emotional irritability and loss of focus.
